Atlanta is home to a pretty big music scene. With venues such as the Tabernacle, Fox Theatre, Phillips Arena and Lakewood Ampitheatre, the talent that runs through these Southern streets is astounding. As art students, we connect with music on a higher level than most. On our off times, we are always finding ways to go to the latest shows or see the newest underground bands playing cheap shows. Concerts are always a tricky event to dress for, depending on the type of venue or if you are in a seat or general admission. Wearing heavy clothing or too many layers can cause you to overheat and be a hassle.
This Fashionista had it right with a loose sweater, shorts and tights. Her stylish monochromatic look, paired with a black statement beanie atop her green statement highlights with black makeup fit perfectly for this hardcore grunge look. Even though being in a concert venue can cause temperatures to run high with all the excitement, dancing and close proximity, keep in mind it is still winter outside. One still has to wait in line outside before the doors open to get in. With temperatures hitting the 40s and below this time of year, you’ll want to wear something that can multitask in that situation.
One Simple Change: To switch up this look from concert time to weekend wear for this time of year, I would suggest an overcoat like this one from ModCloth, as well as swapping the shorts for a cute velvet skirt like this one from ASOS. Pair it with some sweater tights like these from ModCloth and you are good to go.
