WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

Among farmers markets, white parties and rooftop brunches, outdoor concerts are arguably the best part of summer. Throughout the years, concerts and festivals have evolved into much more than just live music. They have become a place where people come to connect with the past, present and future. The worlds of music and fashion have progressively become one as they’ve grown together over the decades. The amazing Paul Mccartney, widely famous singer Sam Smith and upcoming DJ Kygo, all made an appearance at this summer’s Lollapalooza. These artists truly connected the past, present and future and set a tone for a weekend filled with amazing music and even better street style.

I spotted this Fashionista strolling through the concert grounds in her ’70s-inspired denim skirt, metallic platforms and adorable temporary tattoos. Her denim skirt brought in a vintage vibe while the metallic platforms and tattoos kept her look trendy and fun. Her woven bag was  big enough to fit all her outdoor concert essentials and small enough to make it through the large and wild crowds. Practical and chic? Totally Style Guru approved. This Fashionista nailed her concert look by rocking trends from all decades and totally earned some bonus points for her hot pink lipstick and trendy sunnies.

One Simple Change: No Fashionista ever wants to buy clothes they can only wear once and concert attire isn’t any different. In order to rock this denim mini and suede blouse after the concert, simply ditch the metallic platforms for sophisticated stilettos and trade in the woven purse for a leather handbag that matches which ever stilletto you may choose. Doing so will make for a chic look perfect for a girl’s night out.
