WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

With our time quickly whittling away this summer, each day running into the next, it’s nice to take a moment to really enjoy this period of rest and relaxation.  There are many ways you can make this summer one to remember, and one of the best ones is going to see live music. There’s something about seeing someone perform that really makes you appreciate their craft and the work that goes into perfecting it. However just because you’re there for the music doesn’t mean that fashion has to fall by the wayside. As this Fashionista makes evident, a fun and comfortable concert look is not as hard to achieve as you would think.

Dresses may seem like a daunting look for a concert, depending on who you’re going to see, but if you can manage, they’re a great way to look dressed up with very little effort. This Fashionista pairs a simple shift dress with some Converse and a tote, and is ready to take on the night like a champ. The peek-a-boo detail in the back helps to break up the normalcy of the shift form and adds just a little edge to the look as a whole. Although light travel is generally a given for concert wear, a tote provides functionality; so if you’re willing to hang on to it for the evening, then there’s no harm in carrying around a little extra. Plus, if you’re feeling generous, you can keep your friends’ belongings with you as well and save everyone the hassle of keeping up with a bunch of little items. WARNING: most venues do bag checks and some even won’t allow bags at all, so make sure you do your research beforehand.

One Simple Change: Because this look is so versatile, you would not have to change much, if anything, to get a different look. You can switch up the shoes and bag to something a little more low-key and this can be a great look for errands, or make travel a breeze by grabbing some cute sandals instead of the Converse to make security checks pain-free.
