WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

I’m sure you’ve all heard by now that it’s that time of the year again. No, it’s not winter, but it’s festival season! Multiple days of nothing but hanging with a few thousand people outside in the warm summer sun and jamming out to all genres of artists: EDM, Indie, hip hop. Whatever you love, you can see. The most popular festivals in my area are Soundset, Spring Awakening, Summerfest and Electric Forest, just to name a few.

This Fashionista is ready to party in this layered, casual summer dress that seems to flow around her rather than just hang. Flowers scream summer, so it wouldn’t be surprising if she chose to wear this to a festival. The floral bodice draws attention to the overall cut of the dress, as there is a clear division between the bodice and the skirt. This dress could have had more of a hippie vibe if it had been paired with gladiator sandals and maybe a long necklace. However, this Fashionista chose to go with more of a grunge look and she couldn’t be edgier.

Accessories are a plain outfit’s best friend. Layering necklaces is genius and should be done often, especially with chokers. This Fashionista’s clear stone on her longer necklace is very versatile, as it can be worn with all colors and styles, while the charm on her choker is a nod to the indie vibes. Beaded bracelets are a common accessory for any festival-goer, and adding beaded bracelets to the mix was a great decision because they only enhanced her look. Lastly, I can’t get over her slightly mismatched socks with untied maroon combat boots. Not only are they great for when you have to be on your feet all day, but they also give the whole ensemble a sense of rebelliousness and a breath of fresh air.

One Simple Change: Going on vacation? Add some killer heels and a shawl, and you’re good to go for a night out on the town.
