WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

The end of spring term is quickly approaching. Most of us are busy with finals preparation, dead week studying and for the lucky seniors; graduation. It’s easy to get lost in a sea of papers, homework, empty coffee cups and stress. Although it’s important to study hard for the upcoming weeks, it’s also imperative to allow for some down time. What’s the perfect way to combat these end of the year blues? It’s concert season, people!

This past weekend, students at Oregon State University had the opportunity to attend Dam Jam, at which the rapper, B.o.B. performed. What better place than a concert to break out your most Coachella-inspired outfit? The added challenge of accommodating for Oregon weather made for some interesting fashion choices. Amidst the fringe vests, knee-high gladiator sandals and cut-offs stood this crochet-clad Fashionista.

Check out how she mixed both retro and modern music festival trends to create the finished product. A transparent white top paired with a black lace bralette creates visual interest, and provides much needed contrast. She chose to wear high-waisted shorts, and used gold accessories to accent the outfit. The modern look of the metallic sandals teamed up with her layered necklaces looks trendy, and put together. Not only was this outfit cool and comfortable, it was also a showstopper.

One Simple Change: Want to get some extra studying in after the concert? Swap the high waisted shorts for some soft and stretchy fleece joggers and trade in the metallic sandals for some classic white Converse. Throw your books into a neutral and durable Herschel backpack and hunker down to study in style.
