WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

With festival season in full swing, it’s not surprising that everywhere you look you can see students sporting boho, festival inspired looks. I love to explore and try out new trends when creating outfits for concerts. With it being spring and the weather so nice, there are always fun concerts around campus and the city. So, what I am always looking for in an outfit is comfort and versatility. If I’m coming straight from class or the library, I want to be ready to go.

This Fashionista is an expert example of a concert-ready outfit.  She looks comfortable but cute in her white tank top and gray maxi skirt. To add some grungy-chicness, she tied a flannel around her waist. This is a smart addition to any outfit as it’s great for staying warm if the concert goes late. Her hat is also a smart choice as she’ll be protected from the sun and can watch the concert without straining her eyes. Even better, she can just put it in her bag while she is in class or when the sun goes down. Lastly, her brown sandals tie the whole look together, as they complement her sunglasses and flannel.

Overall, if you’re looking for the perfect concert look, this Fashionista is a great example! If you’re like me, being comfortable is super important so you can dance all day/night long. In my opinion, you can wear something super simple, like your favorite white T-shirt and jean shorts, and still work the festival look. The key is to accessorize with pieces like this statement necklace or this watermelon clutch.

One Simple Change: Going to a weekend long festival this summer? Swap out your satchels and clutches for a small back pack. That way you can bring a water bottle, granola bars and any other necessities that will keep you energized and ready to rock on all day!
