WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

After a brutal and daunting winter, Happy Valley has finally decided that spring has sprung! With the sun shining and all of the snow finally melted, students have flung away their down coats and gloves and have exchanged them for tank tops and sunglasses. One of Penn State’s most fun and anticipated ways to celebrate the change in weather is the annual Movin’ On Music Festival. This free day-long event allows students to bring their festival style on campus.

While walking the streets of downtown State College I stumbled upon this bohemian beauty. I was instantly drooling when saw her maxi skirt flowing in the wind as she walked from shop to shop. After approaching her she shared that this was the outfit she planned to wear to Movin’ On!

The maxi skirt was the base piece in this look. Long and flowy and beautiful, the skirt enabled her freedom to dance as well as look fashionable. She paired it with a delicate navy bralette that highlighted her small midriff and contrasted well. She chose to accessorize simply with gold and black bangles that perfectly matched her gold rimmed sunnies. With a pair of strappy sandals she looked like the ultimate bohemian dream.

One Simple Change: Going somewhere after the concert where this outfit might not be appropriate? If you’re headed downtown to grab a late bite just throw on a simple denim jacket or kimono for added coverage. The added layer will help to keep you warm and still remain stylish.
