WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

What to Wear

If you’re not on summer vacation yet, hang in there, you’re almost done! But for those of us who are finished with finals and ready to relax for the summer (like me, thank goodness), now is the time for concert after concert. Every spring, Penn State offers a free outdoor concert for everyone and luckily we had a nice spring day for Fashionista/os to come out to play. This Fashionista caught my eye, getting me in the spirit for festival season.

Graphic T-shirts are perfect for concerts because they’re edgy and loose and airy for those crazy crowds. This outfit isn’t Electric Daisy Carnival ready, but it’s perfect for a night full of good friends, fun tailgates and Luke Bryan. This Fashionista is wearing a cropped muscle tank with an American heart printed flag. It looks great paired with her acid-wash shorts and tops off her rocker look. Pair a graphic crop top with a pair of distressed high-waisted shorts and you have my heart. That’s what I live in in the summer. For those summer concerts that last all day and night, wear a light, long cardigan like this Fashionista. The cardigan allows for an easy transition from day to night.

This Fashionista tones down the rocker vibe of her outfit with a pair of beaded sandals. These are a summer essential and can dress up any outfit, but also look great with a casual look, like this one. Even though her shoes are a completely different style than her shirt and shorts, they still look perfect together.

One Simple Change: Wear a pair of combat boots for a perfect day to night look and to make your outfit edgier. The great thing about combat boots is that they’re the perfect shoes for both a daytime outfit and a nighttime outfit.
