It has been chilly in New York City and we have even already seen our first snow! It might be cold, but that doesn’t stop the Fashionistas from wearing some amazing looks. The trick to braving New York City, or any place, in the cold is the right winter pieces and lots of layering!
It might be cold now, but it is going to continue to get colder and that means every Fashionista needs a good coat. This Fashionista rocks a traditional wool trench coat, which is perfect because it keeps her warm while staying sleek because of the trim cut. When shopping for a winter coat, consider length! The longer the coat the more warm it will be, so look for coats that hit mid to low-thigh.
Next up, warm accessories. Yes it is cold right now, but as I said earlier it is only going to get colder. Invest in a warm and cozy scarf if you don’t already have one. It will keep your neck warm and double as wind protection for your face. Infinity scarves are a great option because they don’t have ends that will flop around in the wind and they stay up by your face. Get some cozy gloves and a beanie and you will be set for the winter. This Fashionista doesn’t have her beanie on yet, since it’s not frigid cold. Rock your more fall accessories while you still have the chance!
Finally, layer up! Nothing keeps you warm more than tons of layers! Try a look similar to this Fashionista by wearing a lighter jacket under your winter coat. This will help keep you warm while outside, but provide you with a cover when inside incase you can’t shake the chills. Add some boots to finish the look, because they are practical and warm, especially with ultra-thick socks underneath!
Winter is a wonderland, so don’t let the cold bring you down. Invest in an awesome coat, grab some thick, knit accessories and you are good to go. Winter is one of the best fashion seasons. Embrace the cold and bring on the fashion!
