WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

It’s New York Fashion Week for the fall/winter 2016 Collections. It’s about 10 degrees and it’s freezing cold in New York City right now. This is our time to finally bundle up in our coziest clothes to stay warm from this brutal winter. When it comes to the weather, most of us pick function over fashion. This means that people who choose warm clothing don’t necessarily choose fashionable clothing. I believe that people can use fashion and function together to stay warm.

It was super cold outside and I looked at my friend’s outfit and I had to take pictures of her for this post. For this outfit, she was going for chic and warm. This Fashionista decided to jazz it up a bit with some neutral colors such as brown, nude and navy blue. These are very soft and subtle colors that go well together. Going from top to bottom, this Fashionista is wearing a pair of stunning sunglasses from Betsey Johnson. I feel like the frame of these glasses fit the look and give it a bit of edge. Next she is wearing a vintage fur faux collar on top of her navy blue Zara jacket. Her taupe dress is from JCPenney and her black and nude shoes are from Nine West. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the exact shoes, but here is a similar pair of shoes. She is also wearing stockings which you can find in any shoe store. All in all, her chic look is the perfect fit for this cold weather.

One Simple Change: Even when it’s cold outside never assume to pick function over fashion. You can easily choose both function and fashion and wear that outfit anywhere. You can wear this outfit to a dinner party, brunch, or any such occasions that will keep you warm and fashionable.
