WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

Winter is hard on Fashionistas. Putting on layers on layers of clothing just to venture outside is exhausting and makes the leggings, UGGs and jacket option all the more appealing. Although I am definitely a comfortable clothes advocate, sometimes you just need to look a little more put together. This look shows us how looking stylish in the freezing cold is all about good basics and eye-catching statement pieces.

This Fashionista first caught my eye because of how effortless fashionable she was! The look is mature without being boring and simple without being bland—the perfect blend of trendy and classic. Her knee-length neutral gray Zara wrap coat and slightly distressed black skinny jeans are the style equivalent of a blank canvas for a great outfit (fashion is  art after all!), allowing her to completely change the look depending on what she chooses to pair them with.

As this Fashionista was just returning from her stylish internship in the city, her low heel snakeskin booties are perfect for comfortably being on her feet all. Also, the pointed toe hits on a major trend this season, elevating her look even further. The ultra soft knit turtleneck adds warmth and coziness to her outfit while adding textual contrast to her sleek leather backpack, a great piece for fashionably transitioning from work to school or vice versa.

One Simple Change: Going straight from your internship to dinner in the city or out with your friends? Ditch the backpack for a small purse, throw your hair in a top knot and swap the turtleneck for a fun flowy shirt like this one.
