WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

It seems like the weather is never going to get any warmer in New York. Every Fashionista/Fashionisto is anticipating the arrival of spring. Since warmer weather will not approach the New York area for couple months, we might as well embrace the cold weather. When I think of winter in New York City, I think of statement coats, warm bottoms, cute hats and stand out footwear. That’s exactly what I saw when I captured this picture of this Fashionista.

When the temperature is below freezing, it’s a struggle to get dressed. When it’s too cold for your usual ripped skinnies and leather jacket, what is your go-to outfit? I have the answer for you. Try a long parka jacket like this Fashionista. It’s guaranteed to keep you warm and fashionable at the same time. The hood with the fur trim gives the parka that winter touch.  Instead of your basic black skinnies, try a pair of sweats. Sweatpants are not only for lounging around or running errands. They can be a comfortable alternative to a pair of regular pants or jeans. Instead of a pair of cold weather boots like UGGs, this Fashionista chose to wear a pair of sneaker wedges. A sneaker wedge is a more stylish option. To top this outfit off, you need a hat to keep your head warm in this frigid weather. A beanie is the perfect hat to keep you warm. It’s trendy, and it adds a laid back feel to any outfit. This Fashionista went the extra mile and wore a beanie with fur accents.

One Simple Change: To make this outfit gym ready, replace the sneaker wedges for your workout sneakers. Put your hair in a ponytail, and replace the beanie with a baseball cap to keep your hair out of your face.
