WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

Cold winter weather can be harsh, but it is very important for a Fashionista/o not to be a victim of the cold weather blues. Don’t dress down just because it’s cold outside. Instead, take advantage of the opportunity to sport nice boots and a unique scarf, or hat. Embrace the winter weather and keep your style both fashionable and functional. Some may argue that this can’t be done, but the outfit this Fashionista is wearing is a great example of the numerous possibilities.

This Fashionista is cozying up in a loose-fitting cardigan on this snowy, January day. A thin, loose-fitting cardigan allows her to layer without adding too much bulk to her look. A large infinity scarf, like the one featured here, can be added to this look for extra warmth, as well as extra personality.

One important tip for a cold winter day is simply to keep your head and feet warm. If your these are warm, then your whole body will stay nice and cozy all day long. This Fashionista is doing it right by wearing her water-resistant Khombu snow boots with faux fur on the interior for added warmth and comfort. The boots accompanied by an adorable beanie, from American Eagle Outfitters, are the formula for the perfect winter ensemble. This Fashionista gets an A plus for being prepared for the cold weather, while simultaneously flaunting her own unique style. She has the ability to move around freely, while still staying warm and looking fabulous.

One Simple Change: Need an extra layer, but don’t want to wear a bulky coat? A perfect solution is to add a down vest over the cardigan. This will provide extra warmth without hiding the outfit for a winter-ready look.
