WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

With the quick switch to winter weather, all of us have been struggling to stay stylish while keeping warm. My quick fix to this problem? Think layering ladies! Layering allows for warmth as well as showing your style through multiple pieces instead of just a few.

A popular trend that has recently hit campus is faux fur. This Fashionista’s inspiration for her look came from the overwhelming amount of fur on the runway this season. This style has made a presence in the form of oversized scarves, jackets and vests. Not only are they completely adorable but if you buy the right one they can actually be a practical piece to keep you warm this winter.

This Fashionista has her favorite fur vest layered over a black and white striped tunic. This oversized top is comfy and the length makes for even more warmth. Personally I would toss any top under a fur vest, they can be so versatile and gives a dolled up look to even the most basic tops. She kept things simple for bottoms and added a pair of thermal leggings, perfect for that long walk to class.

Her black wedge booties are a total must have. Dressing up the most casual of outfits yet so comfy to walk in. You cannot forget her adorable clutch and to top it off you can never go wrong with a knit hat. This winter I would wear this outfit to grab lunch with friends or for a long day of classes.

This look is effortless to create with pieces I am sure are already in your closet. I am predicting a fur vest is going to be a staple these next couple months. Don’t be afraid to pick up a neutral fur vest and play around with the different tops you pair it with. This is the time to have fun layering tons of different pieces!

One Simple Change: Starts to snow? Trade the faux fur vest for blush pink coat. Super warm and always a classic piece.
