WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

January 21st, 2016 at 2:00am

When cold weather rolls around it’s no secret that students tend to abandon their normal cute and stylish ways in favor of warm and comfy sweatpants and hoodies. It can be hard to find outfits that showcase ones style while also being practical for the dismal temperatures and the busy schedules that all students face. This Fashionista shows us that it is possible to stay warm and comfortable while holding on to her unique style.

She begins with a lightweight gray sweater; this is such an essential piece in anyone’s wardrobe for how versatile it can be. Next she adds on a vintage flannel to give herself some more warmth as well as an interesting pattern to her look. It’s essential to have layers since it is always so tricky to dress for the weather outside and the temperatures in the classrooms. She tops these off with a cute fringed scarf for even more warmth and another pattern twist in her look. To complete the whole look, this Fashionista put on an army green and leather coat that is adorable either left open or zipped shut. It features a nice, cinched waist that allows her to show off her figure while still remaining warm and comfortable. Finally, to help keep those freezing winds off her face, she adds a basic baseball cap. Since this Fashionista is like many others who have to balance a busy class schedule with staying fit, she has added a pair of Nike cropped leggings and some cute, teal Nike Free 5.0 running shoes to her outfit.

One Simple Change: Make this look transition from the busy campus life to a fun brunch with friends by swapping out the leggings and sneakers for some cute denim and booties. Take off the baseball cap and add some lipstick and you are ready for anything.
