Winter has been lingering for way too long and I know that you’re all dying to put away the heavy coats and ditch the thick layers for denim shorts and sundresses. But we’ve still got a little bit of the cold weather to endure, so we might as well make the most of it. For those chilly days on campus, all you need is a great coat, a thick scarf and a pair of winter ready boots to make it through the rest of the season.
This Fashionista’s outfit is a perfect example of how to dress for the cold. I spotted her on campus bundled up and staying warm in a comfy olive green parka and a pair of leather pants. A parka is a nice style of coat to have in your closet because it’s so versatile. You can dress it up or down while staying warm either way. And leather bottoms, whether you opt for pants or leggings, add a bit of edginess to your outfit. I like how she keeps it casual, but stylish.
For accessories, she brings in more leather with her black combat boots and gloves with fur trim. Leather gloves have been at the top of my list of wardrobe staples this winter. To top off her look, she throws on a big black scarf. For this type of weather, chunky scarves are definitely a necessity.
One Simple Change: Take this look from day to night by swapping out the combat boots for a pair of heels or wedge booties. Finish off the outfit by adding a sleek clutch or small cross-body bag.
