WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

What to Wear

With the temperatures dropping by the second here in Oxford, everyone is either staying indoors or bundling up to brave the cold. Typically when the colder weather makes its unfortunate arrival, that’s when the bulky sweatshirts and sweatpants come out in full force.

What caught my attention about this Fashionista is the way she manages to stay warm, but look cute while doing so. An eye-catching scarf, like this one here, can brighten up any cold and gloomy day. There’s nothing like a pop of color to add just the right amount of personality to an otherwise neutral outfit.

Chunky sweaters are an incredibly versatile staple in any winter wardrobe. This Fashionista opted to pair hers with an infinity scarf for extra warmth, but you can also try pairing it with a bright statement necklace or over a chambray button-up for more of a preppy look. In the shoe department, I think I speak for the entire female student population when I say there’s nothing cozier than the classic UGG boot, especially when the temperature is in the thirties. If UGGs aren’t your thing, try a pair of Hunter boots to keep your feet dry, insulated and warm in whatever weather winter throws your way.

One Simple Change: UGGs are great for keeping your feet nice and toasty when you’re out and about, but for a fun game night in with friends, switch them out for a pair of ballet flats and a denim vest for a more flirty look.
