Now, it may seem funny coming from Tampa, Florida to have the need to dress for “colder weather,” but sometime in a blue moon, the temperature does drop below 80-degrees! That’s when we get to take advantage of our one pair of boots, our one sweater and our one scarf we all own. This Fashionista has definitely prepared herself for the cooler weather we have coming our way.
While you Northerners may not find sixty, fifty and even forty degrees very chilly, us Floridians find that basically below freezing. Don’t fret when you see us whipping out our big comfy sweaters much like this Fashionista has. Her cream sweater with the shear back is the perfect combination of cozy and chic. One of my favorite fashion-forward sweaters I’ve had my eyes on this season is this party sweater from American Eagle Outfitters. The shear ruffle on the bottom saves the knit sweater from looking like your average big, comfy sweater. Also, pairing your sweater with a scarf not only keeps you warm but also adds a little spark to your ensemble! I love this Fashionista’s choice of the blue scarf with her cream sweater. It really added the touch of color this outfit needed. Try this floral printed scarf from Forever 21 to add a pop of color to your look.
You can never ever ever go wrong with a black pair of leggings. They are perfect for dressing up, dressing down and definitely pairing with a big sweater! Another essential for your closet this fall is the perfect pair of riding boots. Whether you ride horses or not, these boots are some of the most comfortable and trendy shoes to finish up your look with. A pair that have certainly caught my eye this season are these leather, knee-high boots from ALDO. The Fashionista’s choice of finishing touches—I adore! Her beau bag from kate spade and Michael Kors rose gold watch were just the right choices to finish up the look.
One Simple Change: To make this a night look, switch out the bue scarf for this Michael Kors faux fur vest to complete the look that is ready to take on the town!
