WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

What to Wear

This beautiful Fashionista knows how to look stylish during a cold gray winter day. The weather in New York City has officially dropped and the temperature staying down. This type of weather makes me want to leave the house in thermal leggings and sweats but we have to fight that want. This Fashionista was able to look stylish, warm and comfortable for a cold day.

A long peacoat or coat is essential for cold weather. Save the cute short coat for another occasion. You can throw on a peacoat for any occasion to go to school, work or even a night out in the town. It gives the outfit the ultimate trendy look. Urban Outfitters has a great long navy blue boxy peacoat that can be worn casually or used as a statement piece. To contain the body heat she used a black knitted infinity scarf which I love because it can be used as a snood to cover your head as well.

Her accessories are what makes this outfit unique. The cheetah printed fingerless glove looks great and keeps her warm. It also doesn’t interfere with her activities like texting, writing and searching her bag for items. She paired it with a rose gold watch which was her statement piece for accessories. Michael Kors sells a beautiful rose gold watch that can make any outfit stand out. On her other wrist she is using bracelets that you can use from your own jewelry like a chunky bracelet with a beaded bracelet and a thin bracelet.

The thickness of the sole and wrinkles on the front of her black boots make her outfit look comfortable for a cold day. These boots have a casual feel which is perfect for a casual day. The small part that the peacoat that reveals a portion of her legs shows her wearing gray pants. The subtle colors in her outfit is what brings it together. When wearing different colors try to stay in the same basic color theme the way this Fashionista did, navy blue with gray and black.

One Simple Change: The one thing I would change for this outfit is the shoes and scarf. I would like to see this outfit played up so I would change the flat boots for litas and the plain back scarf for a printed scarf to give the outfit some life if going out at night.
