WHAT TO WEAR: Class and the Party

Hello fellow Fashionistas! Spring is upon us, and the grass if finally showing around campus. If you’ve ever been to Minnesota, you know we have a habit of packing our winter coats away when the temperature rises above 40 degrees. You may think this sounds crazy, but after a winter of temperatures plummeting below zero, we will take anything above freezing we can get. Some students even start wearing shorts! While this Fashionista isn’t quite ready to sport shorts yet, she did find a way to look cute while staying warm on her way to class.

This look is inspired by the recent trend of bodysuits and strappy tops. While this trend can mostly be seen at girls’ night out, this Fashionista found a way to make it work for class too. By pairing her black bodysuit with dainty silver jewelry, it creates an edgy but feminine look. Her knit cardigan brings a texture to the look as well as the warmth she needs to make it to class. It’s flowy oversize look offsets the tightness of the bodysuit underneath. She paired this look with a pair of medium wash denim jeans and a brown pair of combat boots. Pairing brown and black is another trend that has recently taken off. It can take the darkness of a black outfit and warm it up with a tone of brown. The best part of this look is that you can go straight from class to Friday night with your friends without needing to change your outfit. It’s versatile, and perfect for night and day.
