WHAT TO WEAR: Class

It’s been over a month and somehow we have all made it this far into the semester without having too many meltdowns, but if you’re anything like me, it is getting harder and harder to try and find the perfect outfit to wear to class.

The weather isn’t helping. One day it’s cold and the next it’s hot and humid, and that’s not even taking into account the temperature in the classrooms. Walking along campus, you see girls in jeans and boots with long jackets, and then following behind them are girls in denim shorts and a crop top. It can make trying to decide what to wear incredibly difficult.

This Fashionista knows exactly how to dress for this weather, and still look stylish while not giving up comfort. Straying from classic New York black, she is wearing a white tank top under a patchy and loose navy sweater that is perfect for those chilly classrooms but light enough to survive the brutal humidity outdoors. Her trousers feature a lively and bright geometric print that maintain the blue and white color scheme and add an element of fun to the overall look. To keep the look casual and comfortable for class, she is wearing a pair of simple black slip-ons and, of course, who doesn’t love a cherry red leather satchel to carry their notebooks? The bag is fun and chic and completes the outfit.

When it comes to dressing for the seemingly endless classes this semester, the most important thing is to be comfortable and make your style seem effortless, something this Fashionista has clearly mastered.

One Simple Change: How can you take this look from the classroom to a night out? Change into a pair of heeled boots to combat colder evening temperatures and dress up the outfit. If you are going straight from class and don’t want to have to carry around an extra pair of shoes, the other option is to add a leather jacket, because nothing says rooftop bar like a great leather jacket!
