WHAT TO WEAR: Class

Since Marist has a huge fashion program, dressing up for class is definitely not out of the ordinary.  Class is basically a social event to see what new trends your friends are wearing as the weather gets colder.  As long as you’re not getting up for an 8:00 a.m., it’s time to put those clothes to good use!

This Fashionista is wearing a perfect outfit for the confusing fall weather that we are currently experiencing in New York.  This look is a great transition from summer to fall with the more muted green jeans, but the bright orange embroidery against the white shirt gives her a little pop.  Both her jeans and top are from Free People. Free People has the best fall items, and if you get them at Lord and Taylor, you can almost always get a discount!  She is wearing a pair of studded high-top Converse that make her stand out instead of the plain white Converse that everyone usually wears. Converse are a great essential for the summer to fall transition.  You do not want to wear boots that make your feet warm but you also do not want to wear flip flops that make your feet cold.  She is wearing a turquoise Hamsa necklace that adds more color to the look. This Fashionista is also rocking multiple silver and colorful bracelets, rings and a watch to finish off the look.

One Simple Change: It’s the end of midterms week and you’re going out to celebrate with your girlfriends after night class? Keep the army green jeans on but slip on some black booties and a dressy tank top for a fancier feel.  You will be comfortable for your night out with the girls but also still on trend! Whats better than that?
