WHAT TO WEAR: Class

September 23rd, 2015 at 2:00am

Let’s face it. The majority of us tend to roll right out of bed in the morning and head straight to our first class of the day, especially if that first class is at 8:00 a.m. in the morning! As college students, none of us truly have the time to look our best unless we set aside the time to do so. After seeing this Fashionista in my 9:30 a.m. class, I began to believe that we all have the time, even if it is only a few minutes.

Trying to look classy while going to your early morning class can be a lot easier than most of us think. I tend to pick out what I want to wear the night before. That way, I save myself from rummaging through my closet, trying on 15 different outfits before running off to class. It also helps because you won’t have to come back to a disheveled room. I recommend showering the night before as well. I know many of us like to shower before class, but believe me, one less step that could be done the night before saves you a lot of time in the morning to get ready. I also recommend packing your backpack at night. It’s just another small step to make your life easier!

On this warm “fall” morning, this lovely Fashionista practically listed off 10 billion things she needed to get done all in that one day. Considering her busy schedule, I was in awe with how amazing she looked. A marbled gray tank top matched with a burgundy skater skirt made me instantly feel that fall was just around the corner. Throwing on some dangling earrings gives the ensemble a dressier look. Additionally, a pair of easy slip-on shoes like Birkenstock sandals adds to the simplicity of the outfit.

One Simple Change: To take this outfit from day to night, I’d simply change the shoes! Instead of sandals, throw on a pair of black booties or heels to take this look from class to nighttime in seconds. Switching out the shoes gives you an effortless look, whether it’s for a romantic dinner with a significant other or a night on the town with friends!
