Three weeks down…so many more to go. It is the beginning of the semester but many of us have already fallen into the rhythm of studio time and classes. I have been attempting to keep my personal style intact, but 90 degree classrooms and six hour studio classes have been making it quite the challenge. Dressing for classes is something I always looked forward too in high school, but now as a college student at an art school I am finding it to be much more of a challenge. Six hour studios and grueling heat make me hesitant to pull out some of my favorite pieces, fearful of possible destruction. I have had trouble striking the balance between chic and practical, staining a white button down in the process. However while I have struggled, this Fashionista hits the perfect notes with this outfit.

The fun black and white polka-dot dress she is donning is given an interesting twist with all the cool accessories paired with it. From the doughnut socks to the bold metal necklace, this Fashionista really knows how to use accessories to pull a look together. Not only does she look very cute, but she is practical for class as well; on top of the statement socks, she is wearing practical oxford flats, perfect for long studio days.
One Simple Change: This Fashionista’s look is perfect for a long day of classes, however when day turns to night it is easy to turn this look into something suitable for going out. Change the flats for a pair of black heeled booties and the slouchy button down for a moto jacket and you are ready for a night out on the town!
