WHAT TO WEAR: Class

April 28th, 2015 at 2:00am

The spring semester is starting to wind down. Our schedules are getting slammed with exams, presentations, due dates and study groups. We have reached the point of the semester where we are beyond exhausted and don’t have the time to put any effort into other aspects of our lives like eating, sleeping and our appearances. However, slopping around in the same sweats for a whole week and not washing your hair will not make you feel better or give you the motivation to be productive. The result of this will just make you feel like a worse version of yourself.

This Fashionista has just the fix for a look that will motivate you to roll up your sleeves (literally) and power through the rest of the semester. Her button-up and high-waisted shorts are classic closet staples that create a well put together look. The perforated pattern of her belt is a fun way to accentuate her waist and add a different color to break up the blue shirt on blue shorts. Lastly, her polka-dot elbow patches and oxfords complete the outfit with a cute, Zooey Deschanel quirkiness.

This outfit is simple, easy to put together and takes minimal time in the morning. When paired with a fresh-faced makeup look, you will feel refreshed, alert and ready to tackle your workload. Just because your academics feel like a mess, doesn’t mean you have to look the same. If you look good, you will feel good.

One Simple Change: Have a presentation in one of your classes? Trade out the denim shorts for a navy pencil skirt. This will create a nice business casual look that will look smart and professional for your professor and classmates.
