WHAT TO WEAR: Class

The middle of the semester is just plain awful. There seems to be a never ending list of things to do that never get done and it just keeps on going. One can only imagine a girl would be stressed out! Now, who has the time to pull themselves together enough to ever get dressed up for class? In my experience, it is a sheer force of will, and this week’s Fashionista has it all.

The Fashionista really brings her personality into her outfit in a way that is subtle and appropriate for class. Starting with a basic neutral base, she builds on top of her all-black sweater and leggings combination with a daring fur vest. Texture and a layered look are a must during the winter—both things that this Fashionista has checked off her list. The fur vest really adds a nice contrast to the base and acts as a focal point to the entire outfit. Oh, and did I mention how warm it is? This look is simple yet exudes a certain amount of sass and confidence, and, if worn properly, can be a knockout even when just going to class.

Her accessories say it all—simple and classic. She adds additional contrast to her dark locks with a tan floppy hat, similar to the vest; this piece draws the eye upwards towards her face. Her dainty gold jewelry is the perfect addition for any occasion and adds a touch of femininity to the overall ensemble. Nothing too over the top for a lecture hall!

Take a page out of this Fashionista’s handbook and try for texture. There is no limit to the combinations during this time of year. Try dealing with those early morning classes in style and in a warm fur (faux of course!).

One Simple Change: Going to a party/bar after a long day of classes? No worries, I got you covered. All you need is a pair of your very favorite pumps in whatever color you want. Roll up the bottom of your pants or leggings, and you are good to go with a glamorous long leg silhouette and a killer statement shoe.
