WHAT TO WEAR: Class

March 18th, 2015 at 2:00am

As we are all getting back into the swing of attending class after a long and sunny spring break, it’s sometimes hard to feel inspired when it comes to our wardrobes. After a week of wearing bathing suits, eyelet cover-ups and shorts, it’s hard to come back to the colder weather. While it’s cold walking to class in the morning, by the afternoon the temperature is warmer, and the heat is on inside. So what’s the key to conquering your classroom look? Layering, as inspired by the runway!

This Fashionista rocks the perfect look for class! Her flannel button-down is the perfect piece to wear as we transition from winter to spring. She pulls the colors in her comfortable plaid top together with her navy blue puffer vest. A vest layered over a warm flannel is the best option for the changing temperatures. To finish her relaxed look, she wears tan crochet boots with lace details. By going with a neutral shoe, she doesn’t detract from the rest of her outfit but still ties the look together perfectly. Finally, she adds a touch of her personality through her unique handmade bracelets, including a bracelet she bought during her recent trip to Africa!

Designers including Christian Dior, Proenza Schouler and Miu Miu had plaid all over their pre-fall 2015 runway collections. Take inspiration from these designers by adding a plaid button-down to your wardrobe. It’s the perfect transitional piece to wear during any season!

One Simple Change: Getting ready for a girl’s night out after class? Throw on a black fur vest and black booties to instantly dress up this look!
