WHAT TO WEAR: Class

My favorite thing in fashion is seeing other people wear items that I have yet to try. This Fashionista is perfectly ready to tackle both the chilly weather and a busy schedule. She has a busy day planned filled with studying, workout time and more! We all know that it can be tedious to plan your schedule and bring spare clothes and shoes everywhere, especially if your campus requires a lot of walking. This is why I love outfits that have a lot of versatility.

This Fashionista is dressed in comfy warm layers. She started with a basic T-shirt. She added a lightweight zip-up sweatshirt and finished with the Electro Phi Beta varsity fleece jacket from the Janelle Monae website. Side note: that’s a great way to show support for an artist who originated from our great city! For the bottom of the outfit, she wore thick graphic leggings, warm socks and classic Timberland boots.

This Fashionista kept the look monochromatic, which is key to pulling off prints or graphics. Everything she’s wearing is also very comfortable and practical for spending long hours in the library or on the go for errands. Knowing that she was going to be headed to workout later in the day, she wore clothes that also double as workout wear. All she has to do is switch out her stylish boots for a pair of sneakers. I also love her beauty look. Twist are great for those with a busy schedule. She looks amazing even when she’s dressed down!

One Simple Change: If the monochromatic look isn’t for you, I would suggest incorporating colors that still work well with the outfit. Feel free to experiment with shades of blue such as navy. You may also want to try incorporating some of the darker purples.
