What to Wear

It’s starting to become that time of the semester when you feel like you haven’t had a break from school in forever and leaving your bed to go to class is the absolute last thing you want to do. Even though spring break is right around the corner, we still have to make it through this last week of classes.

I ran into this Fashionista as she was heading to her afternoon classes. If you’re looking to create a casual outfit without looking like you just rolled out of bed, take some advice from this Fashionista and combine a couple different simple pieces of clothing. I think every girl needs a few white V-necks in her closet. They are extremely versatile. For instance, you can wear them to work out or to layer under a jacket. While this Fashionista sports her Greek letters on her V-neck, here’s a great plain one from Gap.

She layered the V-neck with a basic cargo jacket. As a fan of neutrals, the cargo jacket trend has been one of my absolute favorites—here’s a cute one from Forever 21. This Fashionista finishes off her outfit with skinny jeans and a pair of charcoal Converse sneakers.

If you’re really looking to keep the outfit simple, do what this Fashionista did and keep the accessories to a minimum by adding a cool ring, or other simple piece of jewelry. Sometimes less is more, so remember you can still look stylish and put together by combining the basics to make an outfit.

One Simple Change: If this look is a little too simple for you, add a patterned scarf. It will keep you warm while the weather is still cool and it allows you to add some more color and texture to the outfit.
