What to Wear

So, basically, I’m obsessed with this Fashionista. She’s the cutest thing, isn’t she? Not to mention her laid-back and casual style looks so effortless and polished. She’s wearing a cute little cropped white graphic T-shirt, a pair of blue denim skinny jeans and tan leather sandals with a black peacoat over — Free People’s bomber jacket or coat of arms jacket are absolutely to die for.

While it may be an everyday struggle to get up every morning and get ready for school for some of us, putting together an outfit doesn’t have to be a chore. Class is the perfect opportunity to look cute while still looking appropriate. While our Fashionista is only 5’1″ or so, she cuffs her pants to elongate her legs. Her coat is neither too long as to cut off her legs nor too short as to make her torso look stumpy. Her light sun-streaked hair is tousled and her makeup is clean and simple. A few swipes of volume mascara and some winged black eyeliner to finish off the look.

One Simple Change: Try switching the denim jeans for some sexy statement leggings with your graphic tee and peacoat for a casual date night. I’m overly obsessed with anything mesh, tight, leather and all of the above. Some edgy Siouxie leggings, scandalous Garter leggings or some classy faux leather leggings. Another option is switching out these daytime brown leather sandals for some heels (Jeffrey Campbell Black Leather Litas, Ankle Strap Dita Platforms or Strappy Black Platforms). Both options great for adding a little flair to a casual outfit.
