As the new year rolls in, Fashionista’s everywhere are revamping their closets for the upcoming semester. New Year’s resolutions are being checked off lists and fabulous trends are being created as we speak! Down here in good ole’ Tucson, Arizona, spring semester has commenced and us girls are excited to strut our stuff in cold weather outfits.
The new year allows a fresh start, and what better way to start the new semester than rocking an awesome ensemble? I can’t think of anything better. While walking to my first class of the day, I spotted this chic Fashionista in a fantastic outfit that I had to snap a picture of. Her notable outfit is appropriate, causal and completely put-together for the first day of spring classes.
One of my favorite cold weather trends is the military green jacket. It is a casual look that is appropriate for class and adds flare to any plain long sleeve T-shirt. This Fashionista wears her military jacket from Olivaceous well. Since her jacket is a duller hue of green, she chose to pair it with a black Ann Taylor long sleeve T-shirt instead of wearing a patterned one. In that case, it would make her ensemble too cluttered. I also enjoy the light color denim of her Mother jeans because it accents her Franco Sarto riding boots. Plus, the Franco Sarto boots have a low heel making it fashionable, easy and comfortable for her to walk back and forth around campus.
This Fashionista keeps her winter outfit relaxed with a slicked back topknot that showcases her glam Dita Eyewear. Overall, her outfit is flattering and totally fashion- forward.
One Simple Change: By adding a fun jeweled necklace and a black pair of leather pumps, this outfit would be perfect for a day-to-night look. A fun, jeweled necklace will add a feminine touch and leather pumps will help to balance the outfit with a little edginess.
