We’re just about two-thirds of the way done with the semester, and I’m a little worn out with all the schoolwork I’ve been doing this semester. My were outfits were beginning to look just as tired as I am. Let’s just say I found myself wearing sweatshirts a little more often than I would like. I basically just stopped trying. But, then, I found this stylish girl leaving lecture looking chic. Her cute and creative outfit gave me the style rejuvenation I needed. I have my outfits and new style choices to show for it.
This Fashionista brought fine arts into this outfit that is perfect to wear to class. She’s wearing the typical college outfit — what everyone wears to class — a sweatshirt and jeans. She put a creative spin on what I like to call the “College Kid Uniform” and made it her own. When I saw her amazing graphic-printed sweatshirt, I had to stop her. The crewneck is covered with a Michael Angelo-esque print that reminds me of the paintings on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel just with a lot more edge. She found this gem on eBay for less than $20 (proof that great pieces are accessible and affordable on a college budget). I couldn’t find the exact top but I found this similar one on Amazon.
The crewneck speaks for itself so not much else is needed to make this a great outfit. This Fashionista layered it with a cute Peter Pan collared shirt underneath with simple blue skinny jeans and dark brown booties that are very popular for fall.
This week’s look was simple, but far from boring. Let this Fashionista’s look give you the inspiration you need to keep pushing through until the end of the semester with your fashion choices and, of course, your academics.
One Simple Change: I think this top is great because it’s so versatile. To take this look from Day to Night, pair it with black jeans and your cutest pumps, and you’ll be ready for a night out.
