Many Fashionistas/os (myself included) believe that fall is the best time for fashion: It’s not too cold and not too hot. The weather outside is a perfect combination. It allows us to wear some of our favorite pieces that were a little too thick for summer while still being able to show them off without being covered up by a huge winter coat.
Walking through campus in the fall is great, especially with so many stylish students wandering around heading to and from classes. I spotted this Fashionista in a cool outfit for autumn that looks stylish and comfortable—perfect for spending a couple hours in a classroom while still being able to hang out with friends after.
This season is all about the layers. I love how this Fashionista paired a loose, black textured sweater over a gray tank dress. She added a pair of sheer tights, an awesome piece for transitioning from those summer days of bare legs. Her black boots, shoulder bag and gray beanie all keep the outfit simple and neutral.
It’s her bold neon statement necklace that really grabbed my attention. It’s actually two necklaces that she layered together—again, it’s all about the layers! It’s a fun pop of color that can brighten up any outfit. I love how she sticks with the blacks and grays for the rest of her outfit and the jewelry really draws your eye.
One Simple Change: Switch the slouchy sweater with a bright blazer to pair with the gray dress for a night out. Also trade the bulky bag for a sleek clutch and you’re all set!
