WHAT TO WEAR: Class

Spring semester is here and I’d like to share one of the mottos that helps ensure my academic success: dress well, test well. Many people always make fun of me because I dress well for class, but it makes me more confident and helps me focus all my thoughts on the material that I am learning. A common saying is to dress for the job that you want and I wholeheartedly agree that the same goes for the grades that you want. This Fashionista not only looks chic for class, but still manages to keep things comfy.

Our Fashionista combined very versatile pieces to create this relaxed, but put together look for class. I can’t decide if my favorite part is the olive sweater vest or the black linen joggers. The joggers add a small hint of athleisure to the look, while the vest dresses things up a touch. Both elements are perfect for the unpredictable New Orleans winter weather; we have quite a few days where it’s sunny and 75 degrees.

This Fashionista kept the accessories to a minimum. I love her simple gold bracelet and necklace; they add the perfect sparkle without overdoing it. To finish it all off, our Fashionista sported some comfortable black leather booties.

It’s super easy to transition this look from class to a dinner with friends. You can just ditch the backpack and grab a fun crossbody bag to hold the essentials. Statement jewelry pieces can be added to dress the look up even more.

When it comes to preparing for class, getting dressed doesn’t have to be a huge ordeal. It can be effortless to look simple, sophisticated, stylish…all while still being studious.
