WHAT TO WEAR: Class

Spring is here, which means we can finally trade in those bulky winter coats for light jackets and vests. Weather during the springtime can be quite unpredictable, so the key to dressing up this season is layering light pieces together. Trench coats, vests or denim jackets are amazing pieces to throw over a thin button-down shirt or a lightweight v-neck. These jackets are easy to put on and take off when going to class and walking on campus.

This Fashionista wears a blue gingham shirt with a green military vest. The military trend has been popular for a few seasons now. This vest is very versatile and can be worn with many different outfits. The army green color of her vest provides a great contrast with the baby blue color of her shirt and the white color of her jeans.

Since this Fashionista is going to class, she keeps the accessories simple. She has on a stack of Alex and Ani bracelets, a simple gold ring and a white leather band watch. She also carries a brown/black leather reversible tote to keep her books and binders in for class. This tote is great for a bunch of outfits since it can be both brown and black. Adding accessories is an easy way to make an outfit more put together or unique.

One Simple Change: By switching out the white jeans for a white crochet skirt, it turns this outfit for class into an outfit that can be worn for a Sunday brunch with friends. Changing one piece to an outfit can change the vibe to a whole look without having to spend money on new clothes.
