WHAT TO WEAR: Class

“Dress well, test well.” This is the motto I have been following since I stepped foot on campus, four years ago. Throughout my time here on Hawk Hill, I have found that the majority of the student body takes pride in what they wear to class each day.  Some of you might be rolling your eyes and thinking that it is so much easier to roll out of bed and throw on a sweatshirt, but by dressing just a little nicer, you feel so much better, and make a great impression on your teachers and peers. Putting on a pair of jeans with your favorite top is just as easy as the athletic apparel calling your name from your dresser, trust me. This Fashionista doesn’t let her 8:00 a.m. start time affect her perfectly polished look!

With the weather in limbo recently, it’s always smart to layer when it comes to class apparel. Saint Joseph’s buildings are known to either feel like a sauna, or an ice box, so having a cute jacket that you can easily take on and off like this Fashionista’s J.Crew jacket is key. In order to brighten things up a bit, a colored or plaid oxford is the perfect thing to wear as a base and make sure you cuff your sleeves for a cool and casual look.

Saint Joseph’s University, is called Hawk Hill for a reason, the highest point in Philadelphia is located at the center of campus. For this reason, a good pair of boots is vital for all the walking your bound to do. To complete this A+ outfit, all you need is a little accessorizing, like this Fashionista’s kate spade watch and statement necklace.  Dressing up for class shouldn’t be a scary or daunting task.  With a little patience, and a keen eye for what your closet holds you could be dressing like the best on your campus too!

One Simple Change: As much as we dread class, finals season is the worst of all, but you don’t have to sacrifice fashion for comfort.  To take this look from the classroom to the cubicles in the library, all you need to do is swap the jeans for leggings, and boots for Converse. It’s as easy as and that you are ready to finish out the semester in style!
