The temperature on campus continues to stay summertime hot although we are ready for cooler weather and our hands are wrapped around a pumpkin spice latte. It is difficult to dress when our favorite fashion bloggers and Pinterest boards are already sporting chunky sweaters and suede booties. The time will be here soon enough, and we will once again be wishing for flip flop weather.
I spotted this Fashionista on her way out the door to grab lunch with friends before heading to class. I first noticed her yellow sundress because yellow is my favorite color, and I am constantly looking for ways in incorporate it into my wardrobe. The sunflower-yellow shade makes this Fashionista’s summer skin glow (how do I get that year-round?) The dress’ small flower print gives the simple piece a sweet feminine touch.
This Fashionista is smoothly beginning to make her transition into fall by switching back to dark leather. I love this super functional bag with plenty of compartments to store all the essentials (cookies, markers, iPad, sunglasses and a textbook or two). The classic black leather with gold accents is sure to be an investment that you will be able to use for years on end.
Jewelry is also a smart investment because high quality metals and stone can easily become lifelong treasures. This Fashionista is sporting a dainty chain necklace with her first initial. Recently, tons of celebrities are wearing layers of thin gold chains on the red carpet, and they are the perfect accessory without overbearing an outfit. I am loving personalized jewelry right now, like these necklaces of initials or lucky numbers.
One Simple Change: Toss on a pair of wedge sandals and trade the chambray for a cardigan sweater to dress this look up for casual dinner date.
