WHAT TO WEAR: Class

April 11th, 2016 at 9:00am

Guess what?! It’s Fashion Week here at Iowa State. Between having Dunkin’ Donuts on campus in the beginning of the week, bringing us a taste of some of the worlds biggest fashion capitals, unique merchandise being sold, yoga on the lawn with Ignite Yoga and a lululemon trunk show, behind the scene’s day and much more, it has been a very busy week here at Iowa State.

This Fashionista is taking part of all the Fashion Week festivities, and is apart of behind the scenes day. I caught her leaving from one of her classes, this Fashionista embodied simplicity. Putting together a simple fashion-forward look isn’t always easy. Taking the time to make yourself feel comfortable during a busy week is a major key!  Even throughout the chaotic days of fashion week plus a full week of classes, it could be hard finding the perfect outfit, but simple is better. There is beauty in simplicity, and this Fashionisita definitely showed it.

She paired a simple pair of blue jeans with a dark charcoal Iowa State Fashion Show shirts. In order to show off the gold detailing in the shirt, this Fashionista paired a statement necklace that that not only embraced but accented the shirt and its detailing. It was a cold rainy day, so she also styled her outfit with a pair of polka=dot rain boots. She kept this look very simple, with only having a statement necklace and no other detailed jewelry. All together this look was very simple and she rocked it. This is the exact way you should go about a comfortable look for class.

One Simple Change: Need to change this look from day to night? Ditch the jeans and pair it with a gold sequined mini skirt, put on a nice leather jacket to add a layer of warmth, and pair with one of your favorite pair of booties and last but not least, add a couple of gold bracelets to complete the look.
