WHAT TO WEAR: Class

Campus style varies all across the country. In the South, students rep their Greek letters as frequent as northern college students don their winter parkas.  The average uniform for a west coast student is flip flops and tanks, while most on the east coast can be seen wearing boots with dark jeans to match.  However, one thing that any college student can relate to is the inner conflict we face when wearing sweats seems like a much better idea than wearing something that might take more than 10 seconds to put on.  Admit it, you’ve debated strolling to your 8:00 a.m. class wrapped in your bed comforter.

Lucky for you, I have the perfect solution for those rough Monday mornings. The formula is quite easy; sweater + scarf = success.  This fashionista is wearing a slouchy high-low vibrant, cerulean knit paired with classic sand washed denim skinny jeans. She casually draped a gorgeous silk, cashmere printed scarf around her neck to complement her sweater.  Lastly she chose a pair of distressed, brown “can go with anything” leather booties.

The softness of the sweater, and warmth from the scarf can make you feel as if you haven’t left your bed. Yes, I understand that jeans before 12:00 p.m. can be a struggle for some, but I can promise they are worth it. Dress well, test well am I right?

One Simple Change: The outfit can also be upgraded for something a tad bit more formal for family weekend. Impress your parents with how well dressed and sophisticated you have become since they have last seen you by swapping the scarf with a chunky statement necklace. This glam piece can take your outfit from math class to sharing a glass with your parents over a family weekend.
