WHAT TO WEAR: Class

February 8th, 2016 at 2:00am

With the temperature going crazy in D.C., students have been having a hard time figuring out what to wear. One day it’s 30 degrees and multiple layers are necessary. Other days it’s in the high 40’s and a light coat is all you need. But to our surprise, D.C. was hit with a crazy blizzard this past weekend. Literally everyone was cooped in their room for four days straight since classes were cancelled for what seemed like forever! Oddly enough, as soon as classes began again, it was like 55 degrees outside. So, of course, students took advantage of the warm weather.

I spotted this Fashionista a mile away thanks to her sneakers. I like how she was aware that the shoes would attract a lot of attention so she kept the rest of the outfit to a minimum. She is wearing a pair of yellow adidas from the Pharrell collection. She paired the shoes with baggy drawstring jeans, a grey camisole and a black bomber jacket.

This look is great for class because it is a super comfortable outfit, but also maintains an edgy feel. You could be running around all day, but since the pants are drawstring, it’ll feel like you’re wearing sweatpants. The bomber jacket will keep you extremely warm and make your outfit look really laid back. But what makes this outfit so cool, definitely has to do with the styling of her hair: a frohawk. The frohawk was a good hair choice because she wouldn’t have to worry about it being in her face all day, allowing her to focus on the task at hand.

One Simple Change: I am seriously obsessed with this outfit because it makes a statement but guarantees comfort all day. I will definitely be putting my own spin on this look to try out for a busy school day. To make this outfit even more laid back for a study session at the library, I would change the pants for a pair of stylish leggings and change into a pair of Nike Roshes or Flyknits.
