WHAT TO WEAR: Class

February 8th, 2016 at 2:00am

Every student dreads his or her phone alarm going off, indicating it’s time to wake up for class. Whether at 8:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m., getting ready can be a pain, especially with the unpredictable weather this year. The biggest struggle when finding an outfit is balancing comfort and warmth while still being fashionable.

This Fashionista’s outfit is perfect for class because she can easily adjust to the weather if need be. Her cowl neck thermal is super cozy, yet not too hot for the classroom. Ripped, black skinny jeans develop a laid back vibe, which is enhanced by the cropped length and a raw hemline. Her adidas shoes tie the whole outfit together, providing comfort for walking around campus while complementing her casual style. The Stan Smith court shoe is described as having the perfect combination of style and comfort, making it a foolproof item for this Fashionista. The outfit is topped off with a fur-lined parka. This is perfect to keep warm while walking around campus at Penn State. The hood is a bonus for the extra windy and snowy days, and the fur trim adds a stylish touch. Here, the jacket is left unzipped to expose the faux fur, providing an extra detail of texture. This Fashionista chose to accessorize with a gold watch, keeping the outfit simple while adding her own flare. A watch is the perfect accessory because it allows us students to keep track of time—especially in strict classes that prohibit any technology use.

One Simple Change: Going out to dinner with friends or on a date with that special someone? Exchange your sneakers for a pair of ankle booties and swap the parka with a structured coat, such as a moto, military or jean jacket.
