WHAT TO WEAR: Class

March 7th, 2016 at 2:00am

Lucky for us, the groundhog was right and spring definitely came early this year. Despite the few days of snow in the Midwest, we have been treated to sunny skies and mildly warm days. For a college campus, nothing sends happier vibes than a beautiful day, which doesn’t make it any easier to be sitting inside for hours. What better way to bring the brightness in than by shedding some winter layers and pulling out your favorite sunnies?

This Fashionista is sporting a laid-back, trendy look perfect for a day around campus; in and out of class. Her light washed, distressed jeans give the comfy outfit a little edge, but still make it casual enough for a school day. Channeling the light and airiness of spring, our Fashionista’s iconic white shoes add an element of brightness and put a little spring in her step. You can never go wrong with Converse sneakers. Her warm toned pullover juxtaposes her brighter bottoms and pays tribute to the still existing winter months. When transitioning your clothes, always be mindful of what season is actually occurring.

A favorite in this look is this Fashionista’s gray, structured bag. Not only is it chic, but it provides functionality too. The purse’s rigid structure balances the slouchy aspects of her look and contributes to the spring oriented color scheme. This focal accessory adds a little class to her class time ensemble. Although there is usually a lot of materials to carry to and from class, swapping out a backpack with a purse or tote can make an outfit more polished and transitional.

One Simple Change: To make this look weekend ready, throw on some black booties and swap out the pullover for a roomy plaid flannel. Paired with a pop of color on your lips, this simple outfit goes from class time to party time!
