WHAT TO WEAR: Class

It’s a new year and for us college students, a new semester. We’re back on campus with new professors, new peers and all kinds of new class work. It can get pretty overwhelming at times, but what we need to keep in mind is that it’s a new start and it’s a chance for great things to happen.

With a new semester ahead of you, you’ll want to be looking your best. First impressions are very important, whether it be in class or in the workplace. It’s always smart to start off your classes with style; you never know who you’re going to meet or what’s going to happen in class.

This Fashionista is rocking the perfect example of a first day of class look.

Her varsity-style sweater from Forever 21 is the perfect amount of chic and comfort. The one downside to this new semester is the falling temperatures, especially if you go to a college like Penn State University. While stylish, this sweater will also keep this Fashionista warm as she makes her way from class to class. Varsity-style clothing, such as jackets, sweaters and shirts, are a current trend you definitely want to get your hands on.

There’s a little rumor going around that skinny jeans are going out of style, but I could not disagree with that more. Skinny jeans work well with so many outfits, including this one. Therefore, I wouldn’t ditch them so readily. These Forever 21 skinny jeans work perfectly with her large sweater and black booties from H&M. Sassy leather booties like these have been huge this season and work well with so many looks. They match perfectly with her sweater, adding some sophistication to the outfit.

Though her look is somewhat simple, this Fashionista looks fabulous and ready to take on the new semester. Less is sometimes more and that is definitely true here. While looking rad in class, she’ll also be warm walking around in frigid temperatures.

One Simple Change: Too add a little bit more flair and personality to this outfit, experiment with some different jewelry. A bold color lipstick can also help to add some confidence to this look. You’ll be turning heads when you walk into the classroom!
