As my last few weeks here at South Carolina are quickly winding down, I figured it was only appropriate for a Southern-inspired post. Living in South Carolina for the past nine months has been an enriching experience in so many ways. One thing that I have appreciated the most is being exposed to people from all walks of life. Meeting people from different places has introduced me to new food, new phrases and, most importantly, new fashion.
There are people that I have met here who truly embody the stereotypical Southern mold and this Fashionista is no exception. She is decked out in what I can predict every Southern girl has in her closet. Her Lacoste button-up paired with these bright salmon pants add a burst of color that makes her outfit so fun to look at.
Continuing with the southern trends, this Fashionista wears a pair of chocolate brown Sperry Top-Siders. She accessorizes with a Claddagh ring and a Michael Kors watch. She finishes off the look with a pair of sunglasses that are the perfect way to protect her eyes from the strong Columbia sun.
Although summer is quickly approaching, we can’t spend all our time at the beach. I am sure that everyone is planning on working this summer to make some money for next year so we don’t have to be broke college kids for at least a few months. Take advantage of your school’s career fair. This Fashionista’s outfit is perfect for talking to potential employers because she looks well put together. Her bright and fun outfit paired with a classic southern charm will have her hired in no time!
One Simple Change: I love colored pants, especially in the summer. Pair these pants with a flowy blouse and swap the Sperry boat shoes for a pair of wedges for a casual date night this summer!
