WHAT TO WEAR: Campus Crush

No matter whom one prefers, no one wants to be caught in a bad outfit in front of their crush. We don’t want to try too hard, but we also don’t want to be caught in third day hair and the same sweats we wore to sleep the night before. So, where’s the happy medium? Well, the happy medium lies in wearing what makes you comfortable. When you’re comfortable and confident in what you’re wearing, your aura will radiate good vibes. Seriously, who doesn’t love positive, good vibe-y people? It’s science.

Imagine this: there’s a cutie in your 8 a.m. class, and suddenly you feel yourself wanting to wake up at 6 a.m to get ready. What is this feeling? Is something wrong with you? No, you just got the feels; scary yet exciting. When it comes to a Fashionista needing help with what to wear, they have the help of many magazines and Pinterest. How many guys do you know that would actually invest time in downloading Pinterest or studying Ryan Gosling’s style because that’s their crush’s celebrity love? Not many; which is why I’m here to show the Fashionistos of the world an option of what to wear if they have a campus crush.

A button-down, short sleeve or not, is a timeless piece for any Fashionisto; they will always be in style. They also help achieve that “I’m trying, but I didn’t have to try super hard to the point where it’s exhausting,” look. Folding up the sleeves a couple of times makes the shirt look more fitted around your arms. Which will make you look stronger, and that’s never a bad thing when it comes to impressing the ladies. To add another fun touch, I would suggest leaving it unbuttoned so that way you can play around with some graphic T-shirts. This, boys, is where you can let your personality shine. If you like a certain band, wear the band T-shirt! Not only will you look extremely put together, but you will also have a great conversation starter. Bam, two birds with one stone.

Vans have been a classic casual shoe for a while, so why not stick to what works? There’s different variations of Vans you can choose from to accentuate your specific style. This Fashionisto in particular strayed away from the usual and played around with gray, high-top Vans instead.

Remember: it will always be comfort over campus crush. If you’re not comfortable or true to yourself when trying to impress your bae, the person isn’t worth changing yourself for. If that cutie in your class can’t appreciate that you spent the extra time to roll up your sleeves to look buff for them, then that’s unnecessary stress on yourself. Dress your best in whatever best means to you, and you will attract the people who deserve you.
