WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

Picture this: it’s Sunday, the birds are chirping and the sun is shining through your windows. You had an alarm set to wake up at 8:00 a.m. to meet your girl friends or possibly the heartthrob you met at a coffee shop last week for some delicious chocolate chip pancake, bacon, hash browns and fruit and well, you get the gist. Finally, 8:00 a.m. rolls around, and there goes the alarm. But, naturally you press snooze for… at least 10 more times. And now you’re late, rushing, sweaty and in a daze. Have no fear, this is where brunch comes to save the day! Send a quick text to let the person know that you apologize for not being ready for your arranged time and that you’ll meet them for brunch instead. This gives you a chance to either throw on a T-shirt dress and call it a day, or put more effort into your outfit. This Fashionista went with the second option and selected the cutest ensemble from her wardrobe to make the perfect brunch outfit.

Starting with an adorable off the shoulder shirt, the Fashionista put on an overall corduroy dress and matched it with some trendy sandals that played off the color of her dress. To make the look have more of a classy feel for all those fancy brunch places, she added a Brandy Melville paisley scarf to tie around her neck. This Fashionista also wore her Ray-Ban sunglasses, which tied the look together.

This look is very brunch ready, and will catch a lot of envious eyes from surrounding tables. I think the scarf is the touch the outfit needed, seeing as the bandana around the neck look is all the rage this summer. It keeps the outfit very in style, but with a pop of uniqueness due to the multiple colors it has. This corduroy dress ensemble is good for a day of mimosas and those chocolate chip pancakes I was talking about earlier. And with that being said, hurry up! You’re going to be late for brunch!

One Simple Change: Let’s say you have to run errands right after you filled your stomach with all that great food. Change into some stylish adidas shoes to walk around with ease and to make the look more casual.
