WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

Oh, brunch. There is no meal quite as magical, Instagram-able or delicious. This Fashionista exemplifies college brunching style by combining both cuteness and coziness in a way that is still totally put together. The smart layering of this extra-long vest, sweater, skirt and tights provides warmth that is absolutely necessary during Wisconsin winters. Each layer is independently versatile, but the combination is what brings the excitement to this look. The slight variation in neutrals with a pop of yellow at the bottom edge of the sweater provides a simple, interesting and textural base for this Fashionista to let her accessories shine.

The fingerless gloves are a choice that I find extremely unique and practical.  Not only does this Fashionista get to show off her perfect manicure and edgy, studded ring, but she can easily access her phone’s touch screen without any hassle to coordinate with her friends. The gold glasses necklace is a fun conversational piece, and the length and daintiness perfectly contrasts against the exaggerated cowl-neck of the sweater. The twisted headband absolutely complements the natural colors of the outfit, right down to the fleck of yellow that echoes the hem of the sweater. This Fashionista’s variety of earrings brings interest and flair but feel intentional as they tie in to other accessories in the ensemble. The chic, suede Vera Wang Lavender Label boots make this outfit complete, and the tall length combined with the tights helps give the illusion that this Fashionista’s legs go on for miles.

One Simple Change: To make this look ready for class, swap the skirt and tights for a pair of classic, dark washed skinny jeans.
