WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

July 17th, 2015 at 2:10am

Whether your summer is being spent on the east or west coast, brunch is the universal “lets meet up to talk about yesterday night” meal. At approximately 11:00 a.m., you meet up with your girls, grab some orange juice with perfectly poached eggs on a toast with refreshingly green avocado spread (you are welcome to insert your desired brunch meal here if it is completely different). After snapping your aesthetically Instagram worthy pictures, you dig in while you chat about yesterday’s crazy adventures.

Brunch has it all with the goodness of breakfast married to the delightfulness of lunch. Your outfit should follow the same feel with the goodness of comfort joined together with the sass of style. Usually followed by a trip to the shops, your outfit should allow you to easily breeze through the streets, crouch over sale piles and walk in and out of fitting rooms without any wardrobe malfunctions.

The Fashionista I captured was headed towards a Sunday brunch. Sporting a light fabric navy blue bandana skirt from Forever 21 brushing over her ankles, she shows off her “comfortable enough for daytime” cork wedges. Tying her outfit together with a laced white crop top to show tasteful amounts of her summer tanned skin, and a Michael Kors side bag. A RAD style meets comfort and falls in love, creating what I like to call “RADfort” for the perfect brunch outfit.

One Simple Change: Adding a statement necklace can easily amp up this simple look. For those in cooler climate locations rather than the scorching hot Florida, strap on a worn in jean jacket to layer over your crop top. If your brunch date with the girls suddenly becomes a dinner date with a cute boy, ditch the wedges and add sleek strappy heels and a bold lip. No matter the occasion you’ll definitely look RAD.
