WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

If you’re not spending your Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon at brunch, did you really even do anything that day? Everyone is doing them and it’s not hard to see why. What could possibly be better than good food and good company? How about a stylish outfit to go along?

I spotted this Fashionista and was instantly drawn to her exotic printed crop top. It’s different, fun and a great conversation starter. I think it’s ideal to wear something that gets the crowd talking and it’s especially nice if you’re meeting new people and have to make small talk. Crop tops are always a summer essential, but an eye-catching pattern can transform a piece from simple to spot-on. Wearing something that is a conversation starter is like having an extra accessory to your outfit. And who can go wrong with extra accessories?

Paired with a breezy pair of culotte pants and you have the perfect match for your mimosas. When going out for brunch, you need something that isn’t restricting and doesn’t stop you from indulging in extra whipped cream on your waffles. Culotte pants are unique and can work with practically any body shape. There really isn’t much more you can ask for in a pair of pants.

After brunch, you and your girlfriends might want to take a stroll around the mall, so a comfortable pair of shoes is a must. Strappy sandals are fun, but I think a pair of mules is the way to go as they’re comfortable and practical yet have a sophisticated-funk kind of style.

One Simple Change: If after a casual brunch and walk around town it’s time for a girl’s night out, there’s no need to change your entire outfit. You can easily dress up your daytime outfit by swapping your mules for a pair of heels. No style sacrificing here!
