With the warmer weather and sunnier days, it’s safe to say spring has finally arrived, and what better way to take advantage of it than going to a restaurant that offers outdoor seating for brunch. Since brunch is that awkward in between breakfast and lunch meal, it can sometimes be hard to figure out what exactly to wear. However, the Fashionista featured shows us the perfect example of a great brunch type outfit and it’s important we take note.
Maxi skirts are always in and out of fashion, but this spring I’ve started to see them on Fashionistas all over campus and Washington, D.C. With endless patterns and colors they come in and not to mention their major comfortable appeal, there’s no reason not to join the trend this season. This Fashionista’s Forever 21 burgundy printed cotton maxi is fun and subtle with the deeper red tone coloring. Her Forever 21 taupe laid back knit shirt is basic and comfortable, while matching nicely with the maxi. To dress up the so far simple look she adds a pair of strappy Steve Madden sandals, a turquoise Francesca’s statement necklace, Nordstrom orange bangle and vintage Rolex watch. All of these accessories give a little more personality and flavor to the look, making it that much cuter to wear to a springtime brunch.
The wide variety of colors this Fashionista uses, the versatility in her accessories and the overall fashionable appeal her outfit has is just what every Fashionista/o should keep in mind when getting ready for a brunch. Other pieces that could be good to wear are a light, cotton floral dress like this one from 2020AVE and a easy pair of Keds. Although if you’re looking to dress down the brunch, a light wash pair of boyfriend jeans and a cute top would be just as effortless, yet stylish!
One Simple Change: By swapping out the maxi skirt for a simple pair of black jeans, she can make this a more casual WHAT TO WEAR to class look instead.
